RiNo District is my new favorite, especially for sessions as a Denver Modern Dance Photographer. Also, This. Session. I don’t have words.
It was a different style of modern dance than I have ever seen and I am hooked! I am used to photographing ballerinas like in this post so it was a fun, new modern dance shoot! Gina and I met over Instagram and set up a shoot in Denver in the RiNo Arts District during Colorado Crush. I learned about Colorado Crush the day before our shoot and was so excited after I read about it here! The artists of the amazing graffiti walls were painting new murals that week and some of them were still painting so we saw the artists in their element. It was SO cool.
Along with the amazing art we were shooting against, Gina vogued the entire shoot. She came so prepared and I hardly had to tell her what to do because she just completely killed it! I’m trying to figure out a time to take one of her classes because, after seeing her video posts on Instagram, I need this dance as a workout in my life!! I honestly never wanted to finish editing these because of how much I enjoyed the session! Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!
Octopus graffiti…heck yes!
Be sure to check out instagram through the link to get links to Gina’s awesome instagram and take some dance classes from her! Follow her on her journey to become a backup dancer for someone famous…I won’t spill who it is, you will have to follow her to find out!
Many of the artist’s instagram handles are located in the photos but if you have a question about an artist, please ask and I will be sure to get their names for you!
