My favorite boudoir sessions, so far, have been Mountain Boudoir sessions. They are so adventurous and fun! Dusk is just an added bonus to create an aesthetic that is unlike any other boudoir session. I know, I know, you’ve seen this girl all over my site and Instagram but when you’re in the mountains on Thanksgiving and your sister is all dressed up, you have a shoot after dinner, it’s just what you do.
This light was so tricky but I loved experimenting with it!
By the time we were done with dinner, it was pretty dark already. The sun had just ducked behind the mountains but we had JUST enough light to have a quick 20 minute session. So we hopped on ATVs and sped up the hill to a good spot. This might have been ok, except we had no idea how to operate the ATVs. Luckily, now we are pros after almost getting stuck on the mountain. Whoops.
It. Was. FREEZING! I had my cousin holding the reflector which was just enough bounce to highlight my sister.
Some of the out of focus shots are my favorite just because I love the imperfect photos. They are so different than most of the photos out there on the internet and, if you know me, more than anything, I love to be different and stand out even if it doesn’t appeal to everyone. So I hope you all enjoy the imperfect just as much as I do!
